It’s no secret; the fashion world is a competitive dog-eat-dog world

It’s no secret; the fashion world is a competitive dog-eat-dog world – albeit with very fashionably dressed canines. And with the advent of sites like tumblr and BlogSpot etc. anyone and everyone is having their say about the latest trends, those elusive perfect fit jeans, and those damn fashion faux pas that everyone –everyone!— at some point in their lives, is guilty of. And while you’re free to say whatever you want it doesn’t mean there’s someone there listening to it. So, what’s the point?

As the lovely Laura of fashion blog ‘I Like Your Shirt’ will tell you it’s not, for her at least, about the exclusive VIP invites to so and so’s exclusive event; it’s about sharing your genuine passion and love for fashion with whoever wants to listen. And with a gazillion (it’s a genuine numerical value) fashionistas out there writing their own blogs, it’s easy to feel like a very small fish in a very big-piranha-filled sea – really should stop using animal analogies now. When it comes down to it, it’s a labour of love – like most things in life. With impeccable style, and following the mantras of Anna Wintour’s, “You either know fashion or you don’t”, Coco Chanel’s, ‘Fashion fades, only style remains”, and John Lennon’s, ‘All you need is love’, Laura is one fashion blogger to watch out for. Warhol’s Children’s Esther Levy-Fenner chats to the chic, charming and wonderfully articulate Laura, you can read it here: (Did we mention she’s only 16! – why oh why feelings of inadequacy? Why? Why must you always be on the rise?) Image Credit, our favourite fashion photographer of the moment, Miles Aldrige http://www.milesaldridge.com/
